Jennifer Blair is new to PacWest. She has been dancing and performing in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years. Jen has been working alongside Molly Pishue with our childrens dance program, where she has found her passion in teaching dance to children.
1. How long have you been teaching?
This is my second year teaching at PacWest.
2.What made you want to be a teacher?
I love children. I love dance. There is nothing better than teaching children how to dance! Dance is a gift! It absolutely changed my life for the better. I hope to pass that happiness on to my students.
3. What are you teaching philosophies?
My desire is to teach children to love dance, but more importantly themselves! I hope to inspire these young dancers to dream with their body in a patient environment that is uplifting, encouraging, and challenging. The benefits of dance are limitless and include self-confidence, discipline, strength, flexibility, grace, personal expression, happiness, and a passion that lasts a lifetime! Dance is an art that imprints on the soul!
4. What kind of music do you listen to when not teaching?
I enjoy many different genres of music, depending on my mood. Country always makes me happy. I tend to listen to female artists, because I like to sing along!
5. What non-dancing hobbies do you have?
I have a new hobby of playing wii with my 6 year old son. :-) I have always loved reading, watching movies, family time, shopping, and traveling!
