Molly Pishue

Molly has been teaching dance in the Pacific Northwest for the past 12 years, as well as dancing with the Eastside Moving Company for three 

seasons. Molly has taught dance at Bellevue Dance Academy and Elizabeth’s Dance Dimensions, specializing in children’s dance - ballet, tap, and jazz.

She has taught private and competition Couples 2-step, East & West Coast Swing and Line Dance, as well as performed and competed in East Coast Couples dance contests. Molly also choreographed and danced with the McCabes Cowgirl Dance Team, Seattle Sonics Dance Team and has coached many cheerleading and dances teams throughout the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from UW with a major in Speech Communications and a minor in dance. Molly lives in Lake Stevens with her husband, Gus, and eight year old daughter, Myla.

5 Questions with Molly

1. How long have you been teaching?
I have been teaching for 20 years.
2.What made you want to be a teacher?
I feel that teaching has been a calling for me and I wanted to pass on the knowledge and passion that I have for dance to inspire young dancers. 

3. What are you teaching philosophies?
I feel that through dance, I can help build self-esteem and a positive self-worth in my students. The confidence they gain through dance and performance will last them through their entire life.

4. What kind of music do you listen to when not teaching?
I love all kinds of music! My favorite, go-to music choice is country, but I love to dance so top-40 is a close second.

5. What non-dancing hobbies do you have?
I love spending time with my girl, Myla! We love to go shopping, play with our dog Lucy, and just hang out. She is MY little angel.
